Happy Valentine's Day!

I love holidays! I know everyone seems to hate Valentine's day (usually when they lack a boyfriend or loved one) but I love Valentine's day! I don't really know why! I feel like it's because my mom loved Valentine's day.. Her birthday is February 1st so I think that's why I feel like she likes Valentine's day.. but I could be totally wrong. haha. I guess I just like any excuse to decorate or bake yummy desserts! I love baking! & I feel like when it's a holiday I have a VERY good excuse to bake! (:

I love Valentine's day for the colors & I don't know why but it makes me think of being a kid & going to school & getting valentine's from everyone. I loved that! I hope that my kids will enjoy every holiday.. not just Christmas & Thanksgiving. I hope I can start fun traditions that my children will look forward to every year on every holiday. So Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, Easter, Forth of July, Halloween, Thanksgiving, & Christmas! Like I said I love holidays & I want my kids to have a good childhood & I feel like having traditions is a very good idea!

Anyway I started off this Valentine's day making breakfast... I attempted to make "Heart" shaped pancakes (they didn't really turn out heart shaped).

Either way they were delicious! (:

Then Dee surprised me with a box of delicious See's candy! (my favorite!!!)

Then I went to the temple with my cousin Lindsey!

I'm so glad we went! I kept putting off going to the temple since the beginning of January! On February 17 the temple closes for a couple weeks.. & by the time it opens I will have a baby (hopefully) so I wanted to make sure I went before it closed!! Plus our little cutie always gets excited when I go to the temple. I'm not joking! Every time we attend she will start to move around & kick! Even though it hurts when she does that now.. It's still cute & makes me feel like she is saying "Good job this is where you're supposed to be!"

After the temple I went home & started putting together Dee's Valentine's day gift I made him... I got the idea from HERE! I think it turned out pretty good.. I wanted to add more stuff but I felt like I wasn't that creative.

I am sad because I came up with a really good one.. It was "Your love is outta this world" & I was going to get him moon pies (he loves those..) but they stopped selling them.. They were just a "one time special".

Then I made Heart shaped pizzas for dinner. I think that's going to be a tradition. Homemade heart shaped pizza every Valentine's day! ;)

They don't really look like heart shaped pizza either... oh well! At least the pepperonis do!(:

Dee worked all day so we didn't really do anything on Valentine's night.. I made strawberry shortcake but we didn't eat it until today!

I made a "copycat" Sara Lee pound cake! It was delicious!! (: I love when things turn out right!

Well I hope everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! I know I did! & Sorry for the late post.. I just wanted to get back into writing on my blog! (:
