Bring It ON!

We decided to move to Texas for the summer... Why you ask? Because we are (& when I say we, I mean Dee) doing summer sales. Don't worry it's not what you think. Dee won't be selling pest control, security systems, Direct TV or anything like that, he will be selling The Living Scriptures. The best thing about it is, that he doesn't have to go door to door.. it's just a referral based product. We have never done summer sales and we decided we need to cross it off the list of things to do in life. No I'm just joking. Mainly we decided to do it because we have nothing to lose. Although it is going to be a hard experience in SO many ways.. it'll be an adventure nonetheless.

I am both nervous and excited about moving to Texas for the summer. I am both excited and sad to get away from St. George for a little bit too! I am so excited to explore the world. I absolutely love traveling. I love exploring and learning new things. We definitely are excited about this trip. It's kind of been on the DL (down low) because last time we told people we were moving.. we ended up backing out and staying instead. We didn't want that to happen again so when I say we are leaving for the summer.. we are leaving in about 5 weeks. Seriously!

We decided we would go to Texas back at the end of January. Dee was trying to find an internship for the summer, and then the Living Scriptures company presented itself to us and we decided.. why not? If Dee didn't find an internship, he would be working at Papa John's all summer making how ever much he makes right now anyway (plus it is slower in the summer).. so if for some reason Dee does horribly (which I really doubt) then we really are not losing anything. I think that alone is one of the biggest reasons we are going. Another reason is so I can get out of my comfort zone.. no! I'm joking about that. But really that is what it feels like to me.

I could write a 10 page paper about all my complaints.. but what good would that do for me or Dee? It would just bring us down, and I've realized that I can live with being pushed out of my comfort zone for 3 months if Dee has the potential to make some good money.. if he doesn't then that is a whole different story though.. But I will keep telling myself that Dee is going to make a lot of money this summer so I can deal with the complaints I have for the whole summer.

Besides, at least we will be 1-2 hours away from a beach!! & at least I won't have to think about school anymore (until the next semester..). Also, I will get to spend a lot of time with my sweet baby girl and we will get to explore Houston together!

So I guess.. Bring it on Texas! I can do this!!

These are some of the things I want to do while we are away:
Go in the Houston Temple
Go to the Houston Zoo
Go to Galveston Island
Go to Crystal Beach
Go to Downtown Houston
Go to the Downtown Houston Aquarium
Go to the San Antonio Mission/ The Alamo
See the San Antonio Temple
Go to the Museum of Natural Science
Go to the Space Center
Take Elsie to splash Pads/Community pool.
Take Elsie to the Children's Museum
Go to the Big Thicket
Read Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit
See the Albuquerque, New Mexico Temple on the way home
See the Phoenix, Arizona Temple on the way home.
Ride horses... Maybe!

& a few other things..

Also.. what are some ideas of how to travel with littles.. It is a 24 hour drive from Ogden Utah (Where Dee will do training before we actually leave) to Houston Texas.. Obviously we wouldn't drive 24 hours straight.. but say on a 12 hour drive.. what has worked for you? Elsie is in a new stage where she hates being in her car seat for very long. She will scream her head off and won't stop (she likes to get what she wants). Thanks in advance!

That is all for now!

Elsie's One Year Old Photo Shoot.

I seriously think I am getting better and better at taking pictures. I really do think that practice makes perfect. Each time I take pictures I go through everything I did and decide if I like it or not. If I don't like it then I know I need to research more and learn more about the topic I am having trouble with. If I do like it then I try to improve that as well. I know I am not the best at taking pictures, but I sure do enjoy it! I think next semester I am definitely going to take a class. I want to learn more!!

Well.. Here you go! Enjoy.. I know I did (: Elsie is such a cutie!

Elsie sure is a character! We love this baby so much! She is so sweet!
That's all for now!
