The Happiest Place On Earth

This last weekend we went to Disneyland and California Adventure with my mom, my soon-to-be Step-father, my siblings, & my nieces and nephew. Saying it was fun is an understatement. I always forget how much fun I have when I am around my siblings. This weekend was awesome! I cannot wait to go back.

Dee and I actually went to Biolife a few times before we went so we could have some spending money for gas, food, and fun items. We also had a few gift cards like we did last time for food. Hopefully next time we go we wont be dirt poor college students. haha! -_- then I won't have to go to Biolife! Thanks Rory and mom for a fun trip to Disneyland! We really appreciate it!

Even though we took Elsie to Disneyland four months ago it was still so sweet to see her reactions to everything. Last time we were only there for one day and it was at night. We only took Elsie on three rides and then she fell asleep, and we didn't meet any characters. This time we were there for three days and we stayed in the park everyday about 10-12 hours. Yes our feet hurt, but it was so worth it!

We left Friday morning at 9:30 am. We picked up breakfast & headed to Vegas so we could stop at the Disney Store outlet. (Elsie only had a Minnie Mouse Jacket & Disney PJs. I wanted to get her a few Disney shirts to wear at Disneyland) On the way Dee surprised me with 3 turtles for my turtle collection. While we were at the Disney Store Dee surprised me further with suggesting that we each get a Disney shirt so we could all match.
We got back in the car & traveled a few more hours & got lunch in Barstow California. The whole way down we told Elsie we were going to go swimming at the beach, but since we took our time getting down to California we made it there just as the sun was setting. She kept telling us "Go Beach and go swimming" it was so sweet. Good thing our pool had a jacuzzi otherwise she would have had to go swimming in the bathtub at the Hotel. After we checked in, brought our luggage into our room, & went swimming, we walked to the Cheesecake Factory to eat dinner because we had a gift card. Then we spent a little bit of time with my family before we went to bed.

The next morning we woke up at 6:40 & got ready to go to California Adventure. We got there at 9:30 am. Later we all went to dinner at Cocos & didn't go to sleep until midnight again.

On Sunday February 14th we  hopped back & forth between Disneyland & California Adventure. Sunday was crazy! The park reached full capacity & you could barely move around without stepping on someone's foot or getting ran over. (Don't go to Disneyland when it's a holiday on Sunday & is also a three day weekend).
(Grandpa Rory got Elsie her own Churro. She was pretty excited about that).
On Monday we stayed in Disneyland. We actually met a ton of characters unlike last time we were at Disneyland. Els was afraid of all the characters we met besides Minnie Mouse & Daisy Duck. She actually asked to meet them. We were waiting in line to meet Cruella Devil & half way through she started asking for something. We didn't understand what she was saying until we overheard someone behind us saying something about Daisy Duck. So I asked Elsie if she wanted to meet Daisy Duck & she said "yeah" & started pointing again. Finally we saw that she had been point at Daisy the whole time.
We finished meeting cruella & got in line to meet Daisy. We were so lucky because they cut the line off two people behind us. Then all of a sudden we saw Minnie Mouse. We didn't want to get out of line to meet Daisy because we knew we were for sure going to meet her & didn't know if we would for sure meet Minnie if we changed lines. Then my brother Mason & Malachi showed up & I asked them to wait in Minnie's line so Elsie could meet her.

Thanks to my brothers, Elsie got to meet Minnie first. She crawled up to her & gave her a kiss on her nose. Then she cuddled with Minnie & gave her a huge hug. She was so excited! I was so surprised that she actually went up to a character because the day before we met Mickey & she was terrified of him. Then we had to run over to meet Daisy & Elsie crawled up to her too & gave her a big hug as well. She loved meeting Daisy & Minnie. She talked about it the rest of the day. It was so sweet!

Later she met Princess Aurora & cried the whole time. I think the only reason she was fine with Minnie & Daisy is because she loves watching them on TV & probably recognized them. So cute! We ended our Disneyland stay with watching most of the fire work show, going straight on the pooh bear ride & then straight onto Pirates because there were no lines. (Best time to go on Rides is during the fireworks I've learned).

Elsie threw the biggest tantrum of her life  when we stopped for dinner at Dennys on our way out of Anaheim. I had no idea why she was crying & she wouldn't calm down at all. It was the first time I cried because she was throwing a fit. I wish she knew that we would do anything for her & we wanted to help. It is tough being a toddler I guess. Luckily we had a sweet waitress who told me she had a daughter the same age & completely understood.

We left Monday night at 12am (I guess technically Tuesday morning.. haha) & got as far as Primm Nevada. We got a hotel & finished traveling home on Tuesday. On the way home we stopped at the Hover Dam. It was kind of cool ðŸ˜Š

I'm sad our fun vacation is over, but it feels good to be back home.

That's all for now!
