My Two Year Old.

I cannot believe Elsie is a 2 year old today. I really cannot believe that 2 years went by so dang fast! One second she was just newly born, another second she was barely 1, & now she is 2. Before I know it she is going to be 10 or 20. Ahh! I wish I could pause this moment in life and live in it forever. I love this sweet, sassy, extremely independent, beautiful, intelligent, girlie-girl. She will forever be my baby girl.

Today was Elsie's birthday. We started the day off with a shower. Then we went shopping so Els could pick out a special gift for her birthday. She picked a Minnie Mouse book/sketch thing and an Elsa costume (that she practically wore all day long.) Then when we got home we ate donuts and Greek yogurt for breakfast.
After breakfast Dee left for work and I took Elsie to the park for an hour or so. She didn't want to leave and cried all the way home.
No worries, she totally forgot that she was sad when we got home because we played with her kitchen and made her favorite meal for lunch... Macaroni and cheese.
When we were eating Lunch we watched Frozen. She sang "let it go" when Elsa was singing "Let it go". Half way through the movie Elsie got a much needed nap and slept for 2 hours.

After Elsie's nap she got to color and then she helped mommy make dinner. I was going to make her Lasagna for her birthday dinner since it is one of her favorites, but since Dee's family couldn't make it over tonight to celebrate, I decided to make a One-Pot Lasagna soup that I've seen floating around on pintrest and facebook the last couple of months. Els loves soup and lasagna so it was a win-win situation. She loved it. I loved it. Dee loved it.

I wrapped Elsie's present that we got her a few months ago (a dolly stroller, high chair, and crib) after dinner & then I made cookie dough for a pazookie. While I did those things, Elsie watched Frozen again. Since we are having cake and ice cream on Sunday when we celebrate with Elsie's cousins I decided that instead of making another cake.. or cupcakes, I would make a different treat. That is why I made a pazookie.
(She started crying when we were singing happy birthday to her).

(The lighting really sucks in my house so when it's dark outside the pictures turn out dark..)

Well, it's been a wonderful day and like I said at the beginning, I cannot believe my baby is 2.

Happy birthday Elsie Els! Mommy and Daddy love you.

That's all for now!
