Anyway when Dee finally talked with the University in Missoula they were super nice. They told him all we had to do was get Tech to send them his unofficial transcript to them & reassured us that Dee would most likely still get the scholarship. So after getting off the phone Dee talked to Tech. Which happened to be another rude phone call. & ended with "we won't transfer your transcript because people who do that just want to get out of paying the fee for a new one". & when he asked if they could pull up his transcript so he could sign up for classes just in case we decided we would just stick to going to Butte the lady said "we don't have your transcript" uh yeah that was the last straw. We looked at each other after he ended the call & decided we were just going to stay here. & that's that! We feel less stressed & there are just so many pros about staying here. Once Dee gets his bachelor's that's when we will move somewhere else so he can get his masters. He will be able to finish his degree in 3/4 more semesters instead of 3/4 more years! We are so happy & excited!!(:
We are not moving!! YAY!
On to the next thing...
It is the Fourth of July! This is my 3rd independence day in St. George... & now I will probably have at least 1 or 2 more here since we are not moving! It is Elsie's first 4th!! I wanted/had planned to go to the parade today but lately Elsie has been sleeping in until 10ish. (She falls asleep around 10pm/11pm & has been sleeping 10-12 hours this whole week!! It has been wonderful!) The parade was at 8am.. I know it's not like she will remember anything about today. But I will. I know I'm a crazy but I seriously love holidays! I love traditions. (Maybe because it's something that never changes?). I want us to always go to the independence day parades every year. & have a yummy BBQ together & spend time together as a family. If you want traditions to stick you have to start before they remember so they don't think "why did we randomly start this" & be opposed to it. Like FHE. I want Dee & I to be better about doing Family home evening. My family didn't really do it growing up & when we did we fought my mom on it because my dad didn't want to do it & because it was random! We didn't grow up doing it. Dee said his family never did family home evening either. It was the same situation with them where Dee's mom tried to hold it but didn't get support from his dad, so she ended up fighting the kids and it eventually stopped happening. So that is on my goals list. I want us to start now (we were pretty good at being consistent with it when we were first married. We bought a "FHE for newly weds" book at the deseret book store! That helped a lot!) so Elsie will always remember we had family home evening before she could even remember. I don't want my kids to ever wonder "why are we all of a sudden doing this"? I want us to always be on the same page. Like "it's Christmas Eve, we get to do such & such! YAY!" or "It's Valentine's day, we get to have such & such! YAY!" or "It's the first day of Fall we get such & such! YAY!" and so on! I want them to look forward to things not "Oh this happens all the time." "This sucks!" blah blah blah.
Last fourth of July we had just barely found out we were pregnant! Elsie was in my belly (: I was 5wks.
July 4, 2013
Anyway... this is what we ended up doing today:I slept in until 8:20.. Elsie slept until a little passed 8:30. Dee went to the gym.
I finished making Elsie's bow that she wore with her cute red dress I bought her the other day!
Dee went to work from 11-5:45.
While Dee was at work I started this blog post, Elsie took a long nap from 10:20-1, I finished watching Remember the Titans, & pretty much took care of a cranky, needy, teething baby the rest of the day.
Then when Dee got home we got ready & went over to my sister & brother-in-law's house for dinner.
& then after dinner we went & watched fireworks at the Vernon Worthen Park.
Overall today has been a great day spent with family! (:
